Dr. Aimy Steele is a seasoned real estate developer, investor, and broker with nearly two decades of experience spanning residential sales, commercial development, land use, and affordable housing. As CEO of Maleo Real Estate Inc., a boutique brokerage based outside of Charlotte, NC, Aimy has built a track record as a multi–million-dollar producer, Accredited Buyer’s Agent, and trusted advisor to families, developers, and institutions looking to leverage real estate for long-term growth and generational wealth. Her career began in 2005 at Prudential Real Estate before a 16- year tenure at Wilkinson Real Estate, where she consistently ranked as a top producer. In 2020, she launched Maleo Real Estate Inc. to focus on client-centered brokerage services, strategic land development, and socially impactful projects.

Aimy’s portfolio of work includes property management, buyer and seller representation, land acquisition and development, affordable housing construction, and commercial real estate ventures nationwide. She is passionate about helping families and organizations unlock wealth through real estate, with a strong emphasis on sustainable and equitable development. Beyond brokerage, Dr. Steele is a founding principal partner of the Ignite Sports Complex, a $100M+ mixed-use development project in Cabarrus County, NC. As a strategic leader on the project, she brings expertise in development planning, creative financing, and community partnerships to ensure Ignite becomes a transformative hub for sports tourism, wellness, and regional economic growth. Her development expertise is grounded in both business acumen and academic rigor.

Aimy earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Urban Education from UNC Charlotte, where her research on equity and access directly informs her real estate vision: creating developments that serve as both wealth-building assets and community anchors. Aimy also has extensive leadership experience as CEO of statewide organizations and advocacy initiatives, but her true professional passion is real estate and development as a pathway to generational wealth. Through Maleo Real Estate, Ignite Sports Complex, Crossing Capital Group, and affordable housing initiatives, she continues to merge her entrepreneurial drive with her commitment to community empowerment.
